A new year and a new beginning.
Happy New Year
With the start of a new year comes many things. For the buisness person it means digging through financial records and trying to figure out how you did last year, what you owe to the state in sales tax, and what you are going to owe to Uncle Sam on April 15th.
For me, personally, it means a new adventure as well. Things in my professional life changed drastically. My full time “day” job went the way of the dodo bird, and no longer exists. When I was notified of the RIF (reduction in force) I was faced with the choice of finding a new job to slog out my days until I hit retirement age, or roll the dice on my photography and see if I could make a living doing what I love.
Any guesses as to which I chose? Here’s a hint… I’m going to have a LOT more time to take pictures.
Having said that, the new year brings a new challenge of finding new clients in the Team and Individual and the photojournalism businesses and finding new markets for James Tomlinson Photography.
It’s going to be an interesting new beginning.
